Sexual harassment is any unwelcome behavior of an implicitly or explicitly sexual nature which has the result of offending, humiliating, or intimidating and is not tolerated by Activate's partners or employees. Sexual harassment can occur between members of any sex or gender, and in any age dynamic. We are made up of activists and storytellers who fight day by day to end this kind of injustice in the world, and doing that starts in one's own life.

Activate Media is committed to providing safety for all of its employees and subcontractors from discrimination on any grounds and from harassment at work, including sexual harassment. We treat all incidents seriously and start investigations immediately. Any person found to have sexually harassed another will face disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal from any professional relationship with Activate Media. All complaints of sexual harassment will be taken seriously and treated with respect and in confidence. There will be no punishment, retaliation, or victimization for making a complaint.

Any employee or subcontractor who experiences sexual harassment is encouraged to file a written or verbal complaint directly with both of our partners simultaneously, as well as one of the two following agencies for public record-keeping:

New York City Commission on Human Rights (FEPA)
40 Rector Street - 9th Floor
New York, NY 10006
Phone: 212-306-7500 Fax: 212-306-7414

New Jersey Office of the Attorney General: Division on Civil Rights (OAG-DCR)

[Adopted from]

Activate Media partners, employees, and subcontractors are expected to follow company policy and instructions, as well as the laws of the territory in which they are performing a service. They are expected to stay abreast of the laws of that particular territory and report any potential conflicts between those laws and Activate policy before those conflicts occur.

Given the nature of Activate Media's work, we may only choose to accept certain forms of payment, including check, credit card, or money order. If you are a candidate or organization that must report to any sort of commission besides the IRS (FEC, ELEC, NYC CFB, etc.), please let us know; we're happy to provide extra copies of documentation where needed.
